	In May 2010, the UCI accused Franco PELLIZOTTI of apparent violation of the Anti-Doping Rules on the basis of the information provided by the blood profile in his biological passport. After he was cleared by the Italian federation in October 2010, the CAS suspended him for 2 years, until 3 May 2012.
