Maximiliano RICHEZE tested positive for the use of Stanozolol in the 5th stage of Circuit de la Sarthe on April 11, 2008. On August 13, Richeze was discharged by the Argentine Cycling Federation, and able to race again.
UCI appealed the case at the CAS/TAS in Lausanne, and there the sanction was increased to 2 years suspension, until 9 May 2010.
