In July 2020 Niko COLONNA was suspended by the Italian federation for 4 years, until 16 July 2024, for the possession, use and attempted use of doping products and practices. He also lost all his results between 22 June 2017 and 17 July 2020.
This verdict was the result of investigations by the Italian National Anti-Doping Tribunal (TNA) into the doping practices of Team Altopack, following the death of Linas RUMSAS in May 2017.
