In June 2008, Michael RASMUSSEN was suspended for two years by the Monaco cycling federation for missing three out-of-competition doping controls. In 2006 and 2007, Rasmussen missed two controls carried out by the Danish Cycling Federation and one by the International Cycling Union (UCI). Although wearing the yellow jersey at the moment the news was made public, he was withdrawn from the Tour de France 2007 by his team Rabobank. He has been suspended until July 2009. In 2013 Rasmussen was suspended again by the Danish federation after his confessions about doping use. Later that year, his 8 year ban was shortened to 2 years, until 7 February 2015. Rasmussen has been disqualified from his results from January 2005 to March 2010.
