	Giampaolo CARUSO tested positive for the use of Nandrolon in the 5th stage of the Tour Down Under 2003. He was disqualified and suspended for 6 months by the UCI, until 29 October, 2003. Caruso tested positive again, now for EPO, in August 2015 in a re-test of a sample collected during an out-of-competition control on 27 march 2012. He was suspended by the UCI for 2 years, until 17 August 2017. He lost all results between 27 March 2012 and 31 December 2012.
