Hector GUERRA initially won this time trial, race leader Nuno RIBEIRO was 9th. Both riders tested positive for EPO before the start of the Volta. Eladio JIMENEZ was 13th, but tested positive after the 6th stage. These 3 riders are therefore disqualified from this race. |
